Mindfulness for Adults
We offer one on one mindfulness based therapy sessions that address the concerns of the client with a mindfulness based approach.
What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is “paying attention in a particular way; on purpose, in the present moment, non judgmentally.” It is the practice of bringing attention to our thoughts, feelings and actions as they arise from moment to moment.
In the fast paced world where we are always on the run, we have started to disconnect with or present. Mindfulness is the process of focussing your attention in the present moment and accepting your thoughts and feelings without judgement.
Various research have concluded that mindfulness based therapy resulted in the reduction of stress. fMRI images of the participants showed a difference in neural activity when the participants were exposed to films before and after mindfulness based therapy. (Farb et al., 2010)
What are the benefits of Mindfulness?
Mindfulness can have profound effects on an individual’s health. Mindfulness can:
- Help in reducing stress
- Help in lowering blood pressure
- Help in reducing the risk of heart diseases
- Help in reducing conflicts in relationship
- Help in managing mental health concerns
- Help in managing sleep difficulties
With a rampant increase in lifestyle disorders, it’s important that we take a moment and focus on our health. Mindfulness based intervention help an individual become more aware of himself and become comfortable with our range of emotions and thoughts.
Our experts can help you navigate through your day to day concerns through the power of mindfulness.
