Internship

Our internship program is designed to provide students both theoretical and practical experience in the area of child and adolescent psychology. We give students an opportunity to share their insights, explore links between student’s prior learning and current clinical exposure.

This part time internship program is individualized and tailored to suit the interests of each student in the program.

Learning Objectives:

  • Awareness of child development theories and their applications
  • Observing clinical interview and preparing case history
  • Observing clinical interview and preparing case history
  • Observing psychological assessment and psychiatric consultation
  • Greater awareness of ethical issues in counseling
  • Observing Individual and Group therapy sessions
  • Assisting Senior Psychologist in school programs
  • Strengthening knowledge & skills required for role of school counselor
  • Attending weekly supervision
  • Rotations: Play Therapy, Developmental therapy and early intervention, Mindfulness, Arts Therapy, Music Therapy, and Positive psychology.

Duration:

  • Part-time internships are offered for a minimum period of one month and a maximum period of six months.
  • Intern attends the program thrice a week for five hours per day.
  • Performance of each intern is reviewed at the end of first month.

Eligibility:

Students pursuing Masters Degree program in Applied Psychology/Psychology/Counseling Psychology/Counseling/Clinical Psychology.

Fees: Rs. 10,000/- per month

Certificate of Completion will be provided at the end of the internship program
