Clinical Psychologist

Typical responsibilities of the job include:

  • Identifying psychological, emotional or behavioural issues
  • Assessing client's behaviour and needs via observation, interviews and through administration/interpretation of psychological test measures
  • Developing, administering and monitoring appropriate treatment plans, therapies (Individual/ group/families) and strategies
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of counseling or treatments, and accuracy and completeness of diagnoses, then modify plans as necessary.
  • Undertaking research
  • Writing reports on clients, and maintaining required records
  • Providing occupational, educational and other information to individuals so that they can make educational/ vocational plans
  • Meeting, advising and liaising with schools / other professionals
  • Network and consult and refer client's to specialists, institutions or support services as necessary.
  • Develop, direct and participate in training programs for clinical staff/ school population
  • Co-ordinate activities of interns engaged in patient assessment / treatment

Qualifications and training required:

M. Phil in Clinical Psychology from an RCI recognized institute
